A blooming “lily pagoda” in your cup

  • the tightly wrapped pagoda slowly loosens
  • lily petals and tea leaves gently unfurl in layers in the water
  • the liquor turns a clear orange–amber, with tiny pollen-like specks released from the lily itself, as if the flower is slowly “coming to life” in the water

It’s a beautiful blooming show in your cup, perfect both to enjoy and to photograph.

Purely handcrafted · Little lily pagoda

Shaped like a traditional Chinese pagoda, each piece is purely handcrafted by tea artisans, carefully wrapping whole edible Gansu red lily blossoms together with Yunnan black tea. Every one is a small flower tower patiently shaped by hand.

Taste profile

Rich honeyed aroma intertwined with delicate floral notes, a clear natural sweetness, and a slightly pollen-like fullness on the palate. Smooth and not astringent.

As it blooms, you get both the deep, comforting body of black tea and the gentle, soothing character of lily blossom – a cozy, calming cup that feels like a small self-care ritual.

Why are there tiny floating specks? Why is there a thin film on the surface?

The tiny specks are usually natural lily pollen or fine plant particles, which is normal. A light surface film can also appear due to natural tea compounds (and how they interact with minerals in water). It’s harmless and doesn’t affect drinking quality. Learn more here

Why is there a string/thread inside?

A thin thread is used to secure the “Lily Pagoda” shape during crafting. It remains hidden before brewing, and may only become visible after the tea ball blooms and opens up in hot water. This is a normal part of the handmade process.

Water amount: About 350–400 ml per piece

A vibrant field of blooming orange Gansu Red Lilies growing in a mountain valley under a blue sky. These edible lilies with thick petals are the raw ingredients for the Lily Pagoda Black Blooming Tea.

Gansu red lily
Edible dried lily blossoms from Gansu, with thick petals and a gentle, naturally sweet floral aroma. In traditional Chinese drinks and desserts, lily is often used together with ingredients like milk, tremella or lotus seeds to create a soft, comforting flavour and texture. Many people enjoy lily infusions in the evening as a soothing, calming drink.

Yunnan Black Tea
Sourced from high-altitude tea regions in Yunnan and made primarily from tender buds of large-leaf tea cultivars. Once brewed, it yields a clear orange-amber infusion with a fuller, smoother body, offering a warm, lingering sweetness and deeper layers of flavor.

Best season to enjoy
This tea is especially suited to autumn, winter and colder days. The warm-toned, sugar-free floral black tea, with its red-golden liquor, brings a comforting warmth from your throat all the way to your fingertips.
